Resort Revolution

I'm loving that pretty much every designer does a resort line. It's slowly becoming my favorite season for fashion because it seems that there are no rules for resort. The styles can reflect the end of winter, or the beginning of spring. The colors can be pure white, super dark, or the expected nautical.
This year, a lot of designers are pulling their inspiration from different decades and places. Things are definitely feeling fresh and new again. It makes me excited!

Fighting For Love

One of my favorite bands The Black Keys released their new album a few weeks ago and it's amazing! Here's the video for their single 'Tighten Up'. The little boys are too cute!

She's Back!

Diane Von Furstenberg has; how shall I say it? been a little off recently. Her past two collections haven't wowed me (and she's on of my ultimates). Too many animal prints, and crazy color combinations. For resort 2011, Diane focused on black and white (unusual for her) and made stripes feel new and fresh.
Enjoy :)

New Obsession

These flats by Corso Como are the most comfortable thing I've put on my feet, in like ever! They are flexible, so they can fold up into the small bag that it comes with and is sure to fit in any women's purse. Perfect to switch into after your feet are screaming at the end of a day (or a few hours) from heels. And they're cute too. I snagged an equestrian orange pair from Martin and Osa at 30% off, and am trying to decide which color to get next.

I'm Just Sayin'

Someone needs to give to give Diane Kruger a medal. She has turned Joshua Jackson into one of the most fashionable straight men in hollywood. Let me just tell you, he did not look this good before they started dating.

Swallowed Whole

It's always tough to pull off a printed dress if you're somewhat petite. Being 5'2, certain prints can swallow me whole and look like they wear me instead of me wearing the print. I have to be very very careful when picking out a colorful dress. Zero + Maria Cornejo's Resort line has solved this problem. She has conjured up dresses that are half printed, half solid and some that have multiple colors used in the design. And to top it off, the cuts are so flattering as well. I may need to invest in the perfect dress next year.
