It's My Party and I'll Shop If I Want To

           Saturday we went out for my birthday and boy did we have a good time. I had looked for weeks for my birthday outfit which I had original thought would be a skirt, top, belt combination. Turns out, it's ridiculously hard to find. I never realized how difficult separates can be. My friend convinced me to just go ahead and do a dress that way I wouldn't be tugging and pulling at it all night. I was so happy with the dress that I found. I loved the cut, and it was super comfortable to dance in all night. I was so sad to come home that night and find that I had a big ol' rip on the side of it. I'm praying that a taylor will be able to fix. Cross your fingers xxxx.

Shanghai Barbie

        Dior showed it's Resort 2011 line Saturday in Shanghai. I'm usually quite the fan of Dior and of course Mr. John Galliano himself. You can always expect to see a little, if not a lot, of flair from a show of his. I didn't quite get this collection. It looked like Barbies walking down the runway in their 60's outfits. To me the ribbons, bows and pastels were all just too much together. I can only take these in doses. I did love a few of the looks: simple dresses and statement making stripes. I wish I could have seen more of this. I'll forgive him. Fall 2010 was off the chain!

9 Months, 11 Days

     When I find a band I like, I engross myself in its album for weeks and weeks learning every inflection and every beat. But because I do this, I become ready for a new album by them about a year before they plan to put one out. A loooooonnnng wait :( That's why I love The Dead Weather. Their first album was released last summer, yet I became attached only 4 moths ago. So the fact that his past Tuesday, they released their second, is exactly how I wished all my favorite bands did it. God bless you Jack White!

             So, if you know me, you know I have a teeny little obsession with pirates. I don't know why, or when it started, but it's become full blown. So much that if I walk out of the door dressed something like a pirate- I'm totally ok with it. When I saw this watch by Marc Jacobs, I fell in love. MUST. HAVE. NOW.
